Impromptu fartlek. Didn't decide to do it until I was a few miles into the run. 6 miles easy, then 1,2,3,4,5,4,3,2,1 (OFFs equal to previous ON), then 3 miles easy. Bad math resulted in 17 instead of the planned 16 for the day. (Did 3 mile cool down rather than 2 miles.) Loosely stuck to the 12+/16 mile Newton loop. The 2nd set of 4,3,2,1 started at the bottom of Heartbreak by the fire station, but only the 4 really involved much uphill fortunately. Legs, especially calves and quads, will be sore tomorrow, as they already are post-run!
