The sixth graders who will be going to La Vista Middle (and eventually Monarchs High) all had their schools' "Track and Field Day" meet today. Kinda hot.

My daughter did: Softball Throw, 50m, 200m and "Cross Country" (.8 mile of XC / Track).

After she was done, I ran home; and it was hot.

Summer's gonna suck.

So thankful to God for 2 good races last month; and 2 incredible shows from the Nils Lofgren Band last weekend! It was wonderful to meet up with a friend for the shows in Minneapolis and Milwaukee last Friday and Saturday...great seats both nights and was able to meet Nils and the band + we heartily accepted an invitation from drummer Andy Newmark to the soundcheck before the Milwaukee show! Will be stoked about this for some time...
